TEL AVIV — The Palestinian Authority has secretly requested that Israel release the bodies of 100 terrorists in exchange for the freedom of a Palestinian reportedly held in jail for selling property to Jews, KleinOnline has learned.

Last month, the PA reportedly sentenced to death Muhammad Abu Shahala, a former PA intelligence officer, for the real estate transaction in the ancient Jewish community of Hebron.

Under the framework of the PAs legal system, selling land to Jews is considered a capital offense.

Israeli diplomatic sources told KleinOnline today that the PA passed a message to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressing willingness to free Shahala if the Jewish state releases the bodies of 100 Palestinians killed while fighting Israel.

The message was sent through Ayoob Kara, a Druze politician who is Israel’s Deputy Minister for Development of the Negev and Galilee.  Following requests from Hebron’s Jewish community, Kara had inquired with the PA about Shahala’s status and well being.

According to the diplomatic sources, Kara recommended that Netanyahu not engage in any prisoner exchange but instead demand Shahala’s freedom without preconditions.

Officially, the PA denies the reports that it sentenced Shahala to death and has been less than forthcoming about exactly where the former intelligence official is being held.

Dmitry Diliani, a spokesperson for the PA, referred KleinOnline to the Palestinian prison in Hebron, which in turn directed a request to the PA’s Ministry of Justice.

The Justice Ministry did not return a comment before publication.

According to multiple reports, Shahala was tortured prior to a hasty trial in which he was found guilty of selling his Hebron property to Jews.

Over the years, scores of Palestinians have been put to death in judicial and extrajudicial killings after being accused of land sales to Jews.

Hebron’s Jewish community has been at the forefront of the fight for Shahala’s freedom.

Hebron spokesmen David Wilder and Noam Arnon wrote an appeal addressed to United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, President of the European Council of the EU Herman Van Rompuy and other international officials.

Wrote Wilder and Arnon: “It is incumbent upon the entire international community, which views Abu Mazen and the Palestinian Authority as a viable Middle East peace partner, to publicly reject such acts of legal murder, when the ‘crime’ is nothing more than property sales. What would be the reaction to a law in the United States, England, France, or Switzerland, forbidding property sales to Jews?”

Wilder told KleinOnline today he didn’t hear back from Clinton, Ki-moon or other international human rights officials contacted about the case.

Wilder said he held a lengthy meeting with the International Red Cross last month at which he presented Shahala’s case and requested assistance. Wilder said the so-called humanitarian group did not act.

Communist-group founder Van Jones yesterday admitted that he and the progressive movement stayed quiet about U.S. energy policy during the BP oil crisis two years ago because Barack Obama was president.

However, KleinOnline found Jones did indeed speak out during the disaster, blaming BP while strongly defending Obama.

Jones, Obama’s former “green” jobs czar, made the comments about staying quiet during a recent interview on C-Span’s Book TV, the Blaze found.

Stated Jones: “I’m critical of myself, first, and the environmentalists. When the oil spill happened in the spring of 2010, there was another moment to say, ‘Hold on a second, let’s re-look at energy policy in America. Should we be subsidizing companies that are risking our health immediately and in the long-term?’”

He continued: “We didn’t do it. You’ve never seen the environmental movement more quiet during an oil spill. I guarantee you, if John McCain had been president, with that oil spill, or George Bush had been president with that oil spill, I’d have been out there with a sign protesting. I didn’t, because of who the president was. Well, that’s a bad, uh, uh … that’s not good for the earth, it’s not good for the cause, it’s probably not good for the president. It’s certainly not the way we should conduct ourselves. And so, I’m very tough on progressive movements and leaders, including myself, who did not stand on principle, based on who we looked across and saw as president.”

While Jones concedes he didn’t speak out against Obama’s energy policy, he actually used the BP crisis to defend Obama.

He went on Ed Schultz’s MSNBC show to call the BP crisis a “huge victory” for Obama.

“You’ve got a president who’s willing to kick some butt, and then you have these Republican leaders who apparently just want to kiss some butt. I don’t know why they would be trying to hug this criminal organization,” he said.

“Here you have a president who is literally making history. He is standing up to this corporation. [Republicans] turned federal agencies into ‘Animal House’ with porn and with sex going on. They came and corrupted our government first, and now they are corrupting our environment and killing workers.”

He also used the crisis in 2010 to blast BP.

Speaking at a “green” conference in Seattle on May 27, 2010, Jones offered his take on the BP controversy.

“What they did is criminal. You have this company that’s making $63 million a day … everyday in profit … that decided, for some reason, to save money and not put a$500,000 safety valve in place and have destroyed the Gulf. Destroyed it … because somebody somewhere decided to take a small little act of greed to try to save $500,000. …

“We’re living in a world where we can have nonlinear bad outcomes. Dramatically, unbelievably bad outcomes when somebody makes a small act based on greed. Which means, in a rational universe, that we can have nonlinear good outcomes. Unbelievable, good outcomes. Totally, wildly, unpredictable, good outcomes from small acts based on love.”

This news, however, is simply too hot for the major media to ignore.  I would expect Obama spokesman Jay Carney to lay off the “mistake” to some misguided publicist, but that will no longer work.  For what this brochure reveals is that, regardless of where Obama was born, he has been manufacturing his biography from the day he hit the mainland.
